The Salla platform team welcomes you, and we inform you that, in our commitment to protecting users, Salla platform strives to preserve the private information of merchants, practitioners, and consumers in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Confidentiality of Information mechanism applicable on the Salla platform. Accordingly, the Salla platform notes that this document informs you of the privacy policy and confidentiality of information applicable on the Salla platform. The Salla platform has created this policy, “Privacy Policy and Confidentiality of Information,” to clarify and define the confidentiality and privacy mechanism applied on the Salla platform. Therefore, please review it, as by using the Salla platform, all your information is subject to this policy.

Definitions: 

1. (Salla Platform) This phrase means the platform owned by Salla Application for Information Technology Company, and this definition includes all forms of the Salla platform on the Internet, whether it is an application or a website. This phrase also includes “Mahally Platform” affiliated with the Salla platform, in all its forms on the Internet, whether it is an application or a website.
   
   

2. (Merchant) This phrase means every merchant who registers on the Salla platform to create their online store, whether a natural or legal person. This definition includes all aspects of the store as long as they conduct their trade through the Salla platform, including the store's website or application.
   
   

3. (Practitioner) This phrase means every e-commerce practitioner who registers on the Salla platform to create their online store, and this definition includes all aspects of the store as long as they practice their trade through the Salla platform, including the store's website or application.
   
   

4. (Online Store) This phrase means the store used by the merchant or practitioner on the Salla electronic platform, including the store's website or application.
   
   

5. (Consumer) This phrase means every consumer who purchases a product or service from the online stores registered on the Salla platform.
   
   

6. (User) This phrase is used to refer to any person who uses the Salla platform, whether a merchant, practitioner, or consumer.

Information that Salla Platform Obtains and Keeps in its Electronic Systems:

1. Personal information of the consumer: such as name, email, and national ID number or residency (Iqama) number.
   
   

2. Personal information of the merchant or practitioner: such as name, email, national ID number or residency (Iqama) number, and residence address.
   
   

3. Information about the store and its legal entity: such as the commercial registration number and a copy of the commercial registration, or the freelance document number and a copy of the document, and the bank account certificate "IBAN".
   
   

4. Login credentials for the online store: such as the username, password, email, and the password recovery question and its answer.
   
   

5. Salla platform uses cookies to improve the user experience and provide customized services.
   
   

6. In the event that the user does not provide the required information, the Salla platform may attempt to obtain it through other sources.

Revenue, Goods, or Services Information of the Stores:

1. The Salla platform is constantly aware of the revenue of the stores, because the stores use the payment gateways provided by the Salla platform.
   
   

2. The Salla platform is aware of the type of goods or services offered in the store.
   
   

3. The Salla platform monitors store performance in case there is a need to direct support, advice, or guidance to the stores to help them and improve their performance.

Information of Store Consumers or Merchants' Customers:

Since the Salla platform seeks to improve the experience of the stores and and improve the quality of their business, it constantly reviews the number of store consumers and their purchasing transactions.

Information Sharing:

1. Naturally, the Salla platform seeks to retain this information in a manner that preserves user privacy. The Salla platform does not retain this information except with the aim of improving the quality of the platform and the operations of the stores, and to facilitate and simplify the services.
   
   

2. As a general rule, all of this information is only viewed by some workers on the Salla platform after obtaining authorization to view it from the Salla platform administration — typically, the authorization is specific, limited, and subject to legal and administrative oversight by the Salla platform.
   
   

3. Since the Salla platform seeks to maintain a safe environment for practicing e-commerce, in the event that the Salla platform notices any irregular or illegal activity carried out by the user, and in application of the terms, provisions, and articles of the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy and Confidentiality of Information, the Salla platform may share any of this information with the competent authorities to take the necessary action regarding the violating user. This is in commitment by the Salla platform to the regulations and provisions of the laws in force in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including, but not limited to, the E-Commerce Law, the Personal Data Protection Law, and the Anti-Cybercrime Law.
   
   

4. The merchant or practitioner who initiates the registration of their store with the Salla platform through success partners thereby grants the success partner through whom they registered the right to view all store-related information.
   
   

5. Salla platform notes that irregular practices by any of the users will result in sharing their data with official authorities or certain private entities such as banks.
   
   

6. The user understands and agrees that the Salla platform may use the information they provided to send marketing messages.

What is the extent of the security and confidentiality of the users' private information:

The Salla platform seeks to maintain the confidentiality of the platform users' information. However, since this cannot be guaranteed 100% in (the internet space), the Salla platform team points out the following:

1. The Salla platform strives to maintain all user information and ensure that no one accesses it in violation of the policy applied on the Salla platform.
   
   

2. Salla platform works to protect user information using electronic and technical protection systems of high quality that are updated continuously and periodically.
   
   

3. However, since the internet cannot be 100% guaranteed due to potential hacking or viruses that may affect electronic protection systems and firewalls applied on Salla, Salla advises users to keep their information strictly confidential, and not to disclose any information that they consider highly important to them, out of Salla's keenness to protect, direct, and guide users.
   
   

4. The Salla platform strives to protect the personal data of its users in accordance with the highest standards. In the event of any security breach leading to unauthorized access or tampering with personal data, the platform is committed to informing the competent authorities immediately, as well as notifying affected users with the details of the breach, and taking all necessary measures to address the breach.

Strategic and Logistic Services (Third-Party Services):

The user explicitly and in advance acknowledges and agrees that in some cases, the “Salla” platform may need to share some relevant information with third parties of strategic or logistic service providers, which includes — but is not limited to — shipping companies, payment solution providers, or technical service providers, with the aim of enabling them to perform tasks or provide services associated with the store or related operations.
This information is shared only within the limits of necessity and to achieve the legitimate purpose associated with the service, and in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The platform is committed to ensuring that the concerned service providers maintain the confidentiality of information and do not use it except for the specified purpose.

Integration with Google Services (Google Shopping API):

Out of Salla Platform's keenness to provide integrated services to merchants, practitioners, and consumers, the feature of integration with Google services, and specifically with the Google Merchant Center platform, has been activated to facilitate product synchronization and manage store data in a secure and organized manner.
1. Granting Permission and Access to Data
When the merchant grants explicit permission through Google's approved authentication mechanism, Salla platform accesses specific data from the merchant's Google account, including but not limited to:

• Product and inventory data registered in Google Shopping (such as product IDs, prices, descriptions, quantities).

• Relevant Google Merchant Center account settings.

2. Purpose of Data Processing
This data is used solely for the purpose of enabling technical integration between the merchant's store on Salla platform and their Google Shopping account, including:

• Creating, updating, or synchronizing product listings.

• Managing connection and authentication between both systems.

•  This is done to ensure catalog data consistency between both platforms and to improve the online store's performance.

3. Data Protection and Regulatory Compliance
Salla platform emphasizes the following:

• Google user data is used only for the specific purposes mentioned above, in a way that serves the merchant's legitimate interest in improving their online store experience.

• Salla platform does not sell, lease, or transfer this data to any third party for marketing, commercial, or advertising purposes outside the scope of the provided service.

• Data is retained for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of its collection, in accordance with Salla's general privacy policy, or it is deleted upon user request, integration cancellation, or application removal.

• Salla platform complies with all provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its executive regulations, including applying the security, confidentiality, and privacy standards required to protect data when integrating with any external services.

User Rights Regarding Personal Data:

Salla platform is keen on protecting the privacy of its users and providing clear mechanisms to exercise their rights relating to personal data, which include exercising the following rights:

1. Right of Access: The user has the right to view their personal data stored by Salla platform.
   
   

2. Right to Obtain a Copy: The user can obtain a copy of their personal data collected and processed by Salla platform.
   
   

3. Right to Rectification: The user has the right to modify or update their personal data to ensure its accuracy and completeness.
   
   

4. Right to Erasure (Destruction): The user has the right to request deletion or destruction of their personal data if it is no longer needed for processing.
   
   

5. Right to Withdraw Consent: The user has the right to withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data at any time.

Rules and Provisions for Using Salla Platform:

All obligations of Salla platform, all obligations of users, and all rights described in the relationship between the user and Salla platform (are in the User Agreement). We point out that all interactions taking place between the merchant and the consumer have no relation to Salla platform itself, and Salla platform is not responsible for them, as this interaction is an independent contractual relationship subject to the agreement concluded between the merchant and the consumer.

These rules represent the “Privacy Policy and Confidentiality of Information,” and were established to ensure the credibility and trust that the Salla platform is keen to provide to all users.
