Choosing a gift card supplier doesn't start with the lowest price on the list. You need a reliable source, clear authorization to resell the products you choose, accurate details regarding the country and value, and a resolution path if an order fails. Then, compare price, availability, and integration to suit your store.

Even if a supplier is well-known, review the agreement for your specific product. The availability of a code for purchase or labeling it as "wholesale" does not prove that reselling it is permitted in your market. This is especially important when issuer terms vary from one card to another.

Where do you start looking for digital product suppliers?

Start with the partners or sourcing options listed on the digital cards page on Salla, then request a written proposal from each candidate for the products you want. You might choose an integrated supplier or purchase codes in advance; in either case, you are responsible for knowing what reaches your customer and how to handle glitches.

Ask about the card issuer's identity, the terms for purchasing and reselling codes, supported countries and currencies, code validity, invoicing documentation, and wallet balance management. If the supplier does not provide a clear answer, keep the product off your launch lineup until verified.

Six questions that change the supplier decision

Question

What are you looking for in the answer?

What is the source of this card, and is reselling permitted?

A document or agreement specific to the product and market, not generic marketing phrases

Which region, account, and currency is it valid for?

A list aligned with the product description you will publish

When do you pay, and when is the balance replenished?

Understanding liquidity, minimum limits, and the impact of running out of balance

How is the code delivered, and who fulfills the order?

Documented steps and a method to track fulfillment status

What happens if a code is already redeemed or an order fails?

An escalation channel, required evidence, response timeframe, and resolution method

How do prices and availability change?

Change notifications and a mechanism to pause the product or update its price

The digital card supplier checklist in the Salla Help Center provides an additional framework for questions. Request answers before listing any card in your store. If the card comes from an entity that restricts reselling, such as the restrictions mentioned in the local Roblox terms, do not assume that its mere presence in a supplier's catalog grants you authorization.

Don't compare two offers on code price alone

Consider two hypothetical offers for the same card: Supplier A sells the code for SAR 90 but does not specify the region or clarify who covers redeemed code issues. Supplier B sells it for SAR 92 and provides regional details, invoices, and a written support path. The two riyals alone should not decide the choice, nor does clear support exempt you from verifying resale rights with both parties. Request a product data sample, not a generic test code that you later put into inventory.

After selecting a candidate, ask for a written response on five scenarios: card out of stock, price changes, delayed fulfillment of a paid order, a "code already redeemed" complaint, and integration downtime. Write down next to each scenario who communicates with the customer, who owns the status log, and when updates arrive. In the Salla Help Center guide on the Card system, you'll find an example of supplier integration and order management, though its terms and suitability for your product should be reviewed at decision time.

Pre-purchasing codes or integrating the supplier with the store?

Method

What you gain

What you need to manage

Pre-purchasing codes

You know the codes you have on hand and can test management procedures

Pre-sale liquidity, code validity, access security, and balance monitoring

Fulfillment via integrated supplier

Orders can be fulfilled on demand if the integration and product are ready

Supplier balance, integration uptime, product matching, and failed fulfillments

Do not equate "no warehouse needed" with "no capital needed." An integrated supplier may require an upfront balance, and pre-purchased codes require oversight. Also ask whether cost prices update automatically, when a product is paused if out of stock with the supplier, and who contacts the customer during delays. Specific details for each provider should be obtained directly from them.

A small trial before a major commitment

Choose a single product that the supplier permits reselling, and verify that it matches the account country and denomination. Perform a test purchase following the supplier's instructions, logging fulfillment time, what was delivered, and how a mock inquiry is handled. If you need to test a real code, consider it used once revealed and do not put it back up for sale.

After testing, retain the supplier's invoice, terms, and escalation procedure. Set up a matching product description in your store, and track codes in the digital card registry on Salla if you manage your codes there. Start setting up your digital card store on Salla once your supply chain is clear.

Prompt to compare supplier offers

Compare digital card supplier offers based solely on the following data:
Supplier A: [Source, resale rights, regions, cost, balance, support].
Supplier B: [Same details].
Initial product and customer market: [ ].
Create a table: What I verified, what is missing, and how to test the order.
Do not infer authorization merely from product availability or wholesale pricing.
If source, resale rights, or usage region are missing, advise pausing the listing

Checklist before adding a supplier

  • ☐ Requested the source of each card and proof of authorization to resell.

  • ☐ Verified region, currency, and available denominations.

  • ☐ Understood balance requirements, fees, settlements, and price changes.

  • ☐ Clarified complaint workflows, resolution timeframes, and required evidence.

  • ☐ Tested an order thoroughly before rolling out products widely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are wholesale gift cards always cheaper?

Compare total cost, including unused balance, transaction failures, fees, and time. The code price alone is not enough, nor does it indicate authorization to resell.

Is having a supplier enough to enable automatic delivery?

No. You need proper integration and setup for the product, payment, and fulfillment, followed by comprehensive testing. Review the provider's terms and Salla settings available for your setup.

What if a supplier refuses to provide proof of source?

Do not list the card until you obtain adequate information and verify the issuer's terms. Seek an alternative whose source you can verify and whose issues you can resolve.

Once you've selected a suitable supplier, prepare your Salla store to test your first card. To register now, open a Salla account directly.
