Choosing a gift card supplier doesn't start with the lowest price on the list. You need a reliable source, clear permission to resell the products you choose, accurate information about the country and denomination, and a way to resolve the order if it fails. Then, compare the price, availability, and integration to suit your store.
Even if the supplier is well-known, review the agreement for your specific product. The availability of a code for purchase or its description as "wholesale" does not prove that you are permitted to sell it in your market. This is especially important when the issuing party's terms vary from one card to another.
Where do you start looking for digital product suppliers?
Start with the partners or supply options featured on Salla's digital cards page, then request a written proposal from each candidate for the products you want. You may choose a supplier integrated with your store or purchase codes in advance; in both cases, you are responsible for knowing what will reach your customer and how to handle any issues.
Ask about the name of the entity issuing the card, the terms for purchasing and reselling codes, supported countries and currencies, code validity, invoicing documents, and balance management. If the supplier does not provide a clear answer, keep the product out of your launch lineup until verified.
Six questions that change the supplier decision
Question | What are you looking for in the answer? |
|---|---|
What is the source of this card, and is reselling permitted? | A document or agreement specific to the product and market, not generic marketing phrasing |
Which region, account, and currency does it work for? | A list consistent with the product description you will publish |
When do you pay, and when is the balance renewed? | Understanding liquidity, minimums, and the impact of running out of balance |
How is the code delivered, and who fulfills the order? | Documented steps and a method to track fulfillment status |
What happens if a code is used or an order fails? | An escalation channel, required evidence, response time, and resolution method |
How do prices and availability change? | Change notification and a mechanism to pause the product or update its price |
The digital card supplier checklist in Salla's Help Centre provides an additional starting point for questions. Request answers before listing a card in your store. If the card comes from an entity that restricts reselling, such as the limitations mentioned in Roblox's local terms, do not assume that its mere presence in a supplier's catalogue grants you authorisation.
Do not compare two offers by code price alone
Imagine two hypothetical offers for the same card: Supplier A sells the code for AED 90 but does not specify the region or clarify who bears the issue of a used code. Supplier B sells it for AED 92 and provides regional information, an invoice, and a written support route. The two dirhams alone should not determine the choice, nor does clear support exempt you from verifying the resale rights with both parties. Request a product information sample, not a generic test code to place into inventory later.
After choosing a candidate, request a written answer regarding five scenarios: the card being out of stock, its price changing, delayed fulfillment of a paid order, a "code already used" complaint, and an integration outage. Write down next to each scenario who contacts the customer, who maintains the status log, and when an update is delivered. In Salla's Help Centre guide to the Card system, there is an example of integrating a supplier and managing their orders, but its terms and suitability for your product should be reviewed at the time of decision.
Pre-purchasing codes or integrating the supplier with the store?
Method | What you gain | What you need to manage |
|---|---|---|
Pre-purchasing codes | You know your available codes and can test their management procedures | Pre-sale liquidity, code validity, access security, and balance monitoring |
Fulfillment from an integrated supplier | Orders can be fulfilled on-demand if the integration and product are ready | Supplier balance, integration status, matching product, and fulfillment failures |
Do not equate "no warehouse needed" with "no capital needed". An integrated supplier may require an advance balance, and pre-purchased codes require monitoring. Also ask whether the cost price changes automatically, when a product is paused if out of stock with the supplier, and who communicates with the customer during delays. Specific details for each provider should be obtained from them directly.
A small trial before a large contract
Select a single product that the supplier permits you to sell, and verify its match with the account country and denomination. Perform a test purchase according to the supplier's instructions, and record the fulfillment time, what you received, and the handling of a hypothetical query. If you need to test a real code, consider it used once revealed and do not return it to stock for sale.
After testing, keep the supplier's invoice, terms, and escalation path. Prepare a description in your store that matches the product, and track codes in Salla's digital cards log if you manage your codes there. Start setting up your card store on Salla once your supply method is clear.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are wholesale gift cards always cheaper?
Compare the full cost, including unused balance, failures, fees, and time. The code price alone is not enough, nor does it indicate the right to sell it.
Is a supplier enough to activate automatic delivery?
No. You need proper integration and setup for the product, payment, and fulfillment, followed by end-to-end testing. Review the provider's terms and the Salla settings available for your case.
What if the supplier refuses to provide proof of source?
Do not display the card until you obtain sufficient information and verify the issuing entity's terms. Look for an alternative whose source you can document and whose issues you can resolve.
If you have selected a supply method that suits you, prepare your store on Salla to test your first card. To register now, open a Salla account directly.
