What are the steps to create an app with App Maker?

The next steps depend on whether you already have developer accounts:
If you already have Google Play and Apple developer accounts:
Salla will review your app and account details within 2 to 7 days. We’ll then contact you to access the accounts, submit the app for approval, and publish it once approved.
If you don’t have developer accounts yet:
Salla will help you set them up and verify your information. This can take around 2 weeks to 1 month, depending on Google and Apple approval timelines. Once the accounts are active, Salla will prepare and submit your app for review, which usually takes another 2 to 7 days.
Do I need to add my products again in the app?
No. Your app is connected to your Salla store, so your products are already there. You can choose how they appear across your store and app, or make selected products available on only one of them.
Is the App Maker fee a one-time payment?
No. App Maker is a separate subscription from your Salla store plan. It includes app maintenance, operation, updates, and new features for as long as your subscription is active.
The subscription costs SAR 500/month or SAR 5,500/year.
Apple and Google developer fees are not included:
Apple: USD 99/year
Google Play: USD 25 one-time fee
Can I edit my app design after it’s published?
Yes. You can update your app design anytime from App Maker in your store dashboard. Any changes you make will automatically appear in the app, with no extra fees.
Can Salla create developer accounts for me?
Yes. If you don’t already have Apple and Google developer accounts, Salla can set them up for you for an additional SAR 990.
You can also create the accounts yourself, with step-by-step guidance from Salla through videos and Help Center articles.
Are app notifications free?
Yes. App notifications are free and unlimited.
You can send:
Instant or scheduled notifications for campaigns, updates, offers, and more, with the option to include an image.
Automated notifications triggered by customer activity, such as order updates, abandoned carts, and back-in-stock alerts.
Do I need a paid Salla plan to use App Maker?
Yes. App Maker is available to merchants subscribed to Salla Plus or Salla Pro.
Will my app receive new features and updates?
Yes. Your app will automatically receive new features and improvements as they’re released.
